I’m a student in the nursing program at KCC. To be honest, I didn’t plan on going to college to be a nurse, but everything lined up perfectly for me to be here and graduate this Spring.

It has been inspirational to see how I can make a positive impact on someone’s life. Growing up with both of my parents working in the medical field, I became interested in what they did, and early on I knew that I wanted to be a nurse. I enjoy helping others and providing the care that they need.

As a student, I consider it my responsibility to produce the best results that I can while also leaving behind a positive impact. I chose to get my AA in Science-Business at KCC, because it is my dream is to travel and to bring joy to people, especially in the hospitality industry.

I’ve always loved to draw. My room (and my backpack!) are filled with sketchbooks, pencils, paints, and brushes. Like a lot of young adults, I enjoy watching my favorite TV shows. Show Business, as PT Barnum coined the phrase, is big business in today’s media saturated world.

The Kauai Community College instrumental ensembles will present two concerts in early December. On Tuesday, December 5 at 7 p.m. the Jazz Ensemble & Wind Symphony will perform at the Kauai Veteran's Center on Kapule Highway in Lihue (across from the airport), and on Thursday, December 7 the Symphony Orchestra will perform at 7 p.m. at Kapaa Missionary Church (across from Safeway).
