Choose a campus that offers your program or major that best fits your interests and goals. Determine whether the program you're interested in can be completed online while remaining on Kauaʻi, or if it requires in-person attendance and relocating off the island.
- For a complete list of majors within the UH System, go to: https://www.hawaii.edu/degrees-and-programs/
- For a complete list of UH distance education programs (online & hybrid), go to: https://www.kauai.hawaii.edu/distance-education-programs
- For a complete list of UH fully online programs, go to: https://www.uhonline.hawaii.edu/programs
Know the Admission requirements and application deadlines for the UH campus that you have chosen. Knowing your specific major's application deadlines and admissions criteria is also important. It is a good idea to contact the campus you plan to transfer to and talk with an advisor to ensure that your credits apply to your major and not just transfer or count.
Apply to the UH campus where you plan to earn your degree by the specified deadline. This campus will be considered your home campus. Make sure that all required sections of the application are completed accurately and collect the required documents before submitting it.
Choose your application option:
- Automatic Admission - check your hawaii.edu email account and follow instructions in your email invitation to accept offer through STAR Academic Essentials
- UH Mānoa Kaʻieʻie Program - See a Kaʻieʻie Transfer Advisor on campus Or go to STAR Balance, under “Specialized Academic Services” click on “Transfer to Mānoa (Jill)”
- Standard Transfer - Complete UH Online Application, pay application fee, and submit any non-UH transcripts to the Collegeʻs Admissions Office
Ask for help. Contact your campus advisors and counselors for guidance and support. They can answer any questions about transfer and taking your next steps.
