Kudos to the Kaua‘i Community College culinary arts department, including Susu Okada, Marty Amaro, chefs Mark Oyama, Steve Nakata and all those students for “working so hard” to make and sell the many different sausages and bacon, and even the cold smoked salmon that looked like a meal ready-to-eat during the Thursday Garde Manger sale.

LIHU‘E — Seventeen projects by students in grades seven through 12 will advance to the state-level History Day after judging and interviews by a panel of 14 judges, many from the Kaua‘i Community College (KCC) during Kaua‘i District World History at the KCC Learning Resource Center on Saturday.

WAIMEA — The Waimea Alumni and Friends Foundation recently honored the 2023 WAFF Scholarship recipients from the Waimea High School senior class.

“Mo” has been teaching in the Nursing program at Kauai Community College for over 17 years. She earned her BS of Nursing at the College of New Jersey, and obtained her Masters in Nursing Education from UH Manoa (UHMNAWSON).
