Investing in Your Automotive Future

The Automotive Technology program empowers you with three key goals:

  • Thrive in a Competitive Field: We instill a strong work ethic and the right attitude to excel in today's demanding environment.
  • Become a Lifelong Learner: Equip yourself with the ability to adapt to the constant technological advancements within the automotive industry.

Flexible Learning Options:

The program offers a variety of certificates, each focusing on a specific area and equipping you with in-demand workplace skills. These certificates can be combined to achieve higher-level qualifications:

  • Specialized Certificates: Earn targeted knowledge through certificates like Drive Train Specialist, Under-car Specialist, or Electronics/Computer Specialist.

Pathways to Success:

  • Certificate of Achievement in Automotive Technology: This achievement signifies the completion of several specialized certificates.
  • Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree: This two-year program is offered every other year and is built upon the foundation of certificate coursework.

Streamlined Completion:

This program aligns seamlessly with other UH Community College Automotive programs. To maximize your progress, we recommend enrolling in all offered courses each semester. However, due to the AAS degree schedule, it's best to consult with an academic advisor to create a personalized roadmap that considers your desired certificate or degree and the AAS program offering schedule. This advisor can help you chart the most efficient path to achieve your academic goals.

Investing in the tools of your trade:

The program requires tools and supplies, with an estimated cost of $2,500. This cost can vary depending on where you choose to purchase them.
