The University of Hawai‘i Advisory Presidential Selection Committee was appointed in October 2008 to advise the Board of Regents on selection of a successor for UH President David McClain, whose term of appointment ends July 31. The committee reviewed 168 nominees/applicants. After interviewing 14 candidates, the committee invited 4 to visit campus and constituent groups on O‘ahu, Kaua‘i, Maui and the Big Island.
